Trish Belford : Real Estate Salesperson

I was born in Oakville and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. I come from a family of competitors and great athletes. I followed in my brother Richard's footsteps and started playing tennis competitively from a young age. I excelled quickly and spent most of my youth traveling the globe playing pro tennis. At the age of 16 I made a wise decision that school was most important and attended the University of Texas, majoring in English. After university I headed home to be closer to family as this is where my heart truly lied.

Now how did I end up in Belleville I am sure you are wondering? My husband! After University, I worked at an Advertising firm in Toronto where I meet my husband Robert. After 5 very busy years in the Ad world, we made the decision in Winnipeg, our final transfer destination, that it was time to have children and move home. We packed it in and left our highly stressful and extremely busy lives.

Moving back to this area would not provide advertising guru's with many options, so I really needed to decide what I wanted to do in my life in a smaller city. Real estate was a career choice I previously considered. I thought it would be a perfect match given my personality traits. I am extremely competitive, outgoing, energetic, and I never give up.

My business has grown very rapidly over the years thanks to all of my wonderful and loyal clients. Referrals have become over 87% of my business in the past 2 years which is an astonishing amount for an agent and a great compliment about the service I provide.

For me, it's not all about the sale, it's about my clients. I have made it my goal in my real estate career to focus on what happens after the sale as I believe this is were we make our lasting impression. If there is one thing any of my clients would say about me is that I give it all I've got from beginning to end and beyond.

Becky Ellis-Downey: Client Care Coordinator

I was born in Pembroke, Ontario into a military family and we were fortunate to only move a few times within the province, and spend 5 years in Germany. I spent 9 years as an Officer in the Canadian Forces and was posted to Kingston. To bring things full circle, I married into the military, as my husband is a serving member of the Canadian Forces. My husband, our daughter and I share a newly purchased home within the Quinte region with a very high spirited dog.

I have spent the majority of my life as a student and I love to learn! I completed a Bachelor of Science Degree while attending the Royal Military College of Canada and after leaving the forces I received my Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. I have a thirst for obtaining knowledge and enjoy taking academic courses to keep my skills current. I am also fluently bilingual and will help both Trish and you in French should it make you more comfortable.

For fun, I am a card shark who loves to play both card games and board games. Otherwise, I am highly addicted to Sudoku, and am usually found sitting with a large book of puzzles and my pencil and eraser. I also enjoy reading, scrapbooking and turning our first home into a constantly changing rainbow of colours!
