Choosing a Real Estate Sales Representative

Some people believe that they can save money by selling (or buying) their house themselves.  They often don’t realize just how much is involved and sometimes make costly mistakes.

When no agent is involved, buyers and sellers are in direct contact.  Emotions may run high and frustrations may turn to anger, confrontation might defeat the transaction.  With an agent as an impartial go-between, it could mean the difference between a deal and a wasted effort.

Once you have selected an agent, stick with him or her.  Most agents work much harder for you if they know that you are loyal to them.  This job involves considerable legwork, for which no money is received until the transaction is completed.  Someone who deals with a number of agents should not expect the same degree of interest from any of them that they would get by working with one agent.
